Choosing and Internet Service Provider

The Central CAPT web site has moved to be part of a new National CAPT web site. In 10 seconds you will be automatically redirected to http://captus.samhsa.gov/central/central.cfm -- Use this form if you have any questions.

Choosing an Internet Service Provider (ISP) can be a daunting task, especially for those people that are uncomfortable with the lexicon used by the technology industry. To help make the process easier, we have developed a tool to give you some ideas to consider when choosing an ISP. By answering the following questions, we will be able to reccomend some types of Internet service to ask about. Hopefully this will ensure that you feel more confident in talking with ISP sales people.

In order to get the best benefit from these suggestions, it is suggested that you read Finding and Evaluating an Internet Service Provider for an overview of types of Internet connections.

Note:Central CAPT will not reccomend or endorse any specific Internet Service Provider. We will only suggest the types of Internet service that will probably fulfill your needs. Any answers you give to the following questions will not be collected or stored by Central CAPT.
